passing by

just bumped into a guy walking his dog.  he said something to me with a big smile.  something like, ” have a lovely evening.”  or ” how are you doing?”  i replied and stopped.  he’s the same guy walking his dog i used to pass while on crutches who would say, “get better soon.”  “you’re doing great.”  i told him that, reminding him of his kindness and how it totally had an impact and brightened my day each time.  and he said, “i’m glad to see you’re doing well.”  it touched him to know he had touched me, and that he had a positive influence in my healing.  but that’s not why he does it.  he is a bright light.
